It is with great regret that, as I post today's Podthought on The Faroe Islands Podcast, I also announce the imminent end of my over five-year-long term as Podthinker. But it ain't over 'til it's over! As a man of my word -- one of my few virtues, I can assure you -- I will, over the next twelve weeks, Podthink about the twelve remaining podcasts about which I've previously promised to Podthink:

On Being
Man School
By the Way
Follow Your Ears
Curiouscity
You Can't Eat the Sunshine
Dear HK
DVDASA
The Roth Show
The Titanium Physicists
Talk to Me in Korean

While I'm naturally no longer looking for show suggestions, I do welcome any other suggestions you might have about how to do the column in the final three months I'll be doing it.

(That is, twelve including the one I just posted. Y'know what I mean.)

This week, I Podthink from Chicago back to my own city for You Can't Eat the Sunshine, by my fellow Los Angeles obsessives over at Esotouric. Five more to go before retirement, the next of which will take us to another city (or, rather, city-state) entirely:

Dear HK
DVDASA
The Roth Show
The Titanium Physicists
Talk to Me in Korean

This week, I Podthink on Dear HK, which takes the form of the 23-year-olds' gab podcast into a whole other setting entirely — but with what sort of difference in the end? Four more to go before retirement:

DVDASA
The Roth Show
The Titanium Physicists
Talk to Me in Korean

This week, I Podthink on DVDASA, which brings together multi-multi-millionaire painter David Choe, famed pornstar Asa Akira, and a whole foulmouthed rainbow crew besides. Three more to go before retirement:

This week, I Podthink on The Roth Show, former and current Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth's podcast, a one-man New York-, Pasadena-, and Tokyo-based course on rock star-ism, alcohol, swordsmanship, cigarettes, traditional tattooing, and the way of the bon vivant. Two more to go before retirement:

The Titanium Physicists
Talk to Me in Korean

This week, I Podthink on The Titanium Physicists, which brings together physicists, web comic artists, and podcasters — at long last — to discuss particle acceleration, dark matter, and superfluids. One more to go before retirement:

Talk to Me in Korean

This week brings my final Podthought, on Talk to Me in Korean, which has done more than its part to teach me that language I've studied as long as I've listened to podcasts. Thanks again, Max Funsters, for reading and listening along with me. It's been an aurally rich six-ish years.
