This week features a very special guest: Sick Travis. He's filling in for regular Travis, who's out sick. You might know Sick Travis from his work on the hit podcast My Sick Brother, My Brother and Me, and also from Home Improvement, where he played a series-long recurring character.

Suggested talking points: Snow Dogs CGI, Three Ninjas vs. Tony Jaa, Pasta Pre-Production, Red Light Run, Fireworks Bathroom, Adult Wampum, Rat Birthday

Episode 190 MP3

Awww, me and my rat were having a great time listening to this show until that last bit. (Well, to be fair, I was listening; she was just chilling on the desk.) I won't bother explaining all their good points, because you kind of covered them while talking about the e-mails you didn't want to get, but y'all gave me a frowny face. (I still love you guys, though.)

I honestly did a fucking spit-take when Travis shouted "Read a book!" at Griffin. That, in addition to the whole Olive Garden goof, put this episode in the pantheon alongside Garfield Monstrosity and Spaghettageddon. Keep up the good work, brothers!

My fiancée owned a couple of rats when she was in college. They were named Sigourney and Fig Newton. They apparently used to cruise around the dormitory in a big plastic ball.

The thing about pet rats is they aren't just scooped up out of an alley, they are bred to be pet rats. Its not like inviting a wolf in to your home for a game of fetch.

Thank you; that's all I wanted to hear.

She's pretty cool. She chases my cats around. No plastic ball; just an invisible sphere of pure chutzpah.

As a student of martial arts for going on 9 years, I can appreciate that one guy's conundrum. I definitely worry about coming across a certain way when I disclose that I do this. What I do is usually save it until when I'm in a conversation about we do for exercise; then it's fine and no weirder than doing yoga or pilates or Crossfit or training for a marathon. It's probably less weird than Crossfit; let's be honest.

Otherwise, I try to avoid it in casual conversation; even if I am in a rush to get to class, I usually try to not disclose what I'm in a rush to get to.
