You've been living with that face your whole life. It's ... I mean, it's fine, but isn't it time to spice it up a little bit? This week on Sawbones, Dr. Sydnee and Justin are replacing your nose with a leaf and your ear with some pig skin in their history of plastic surgery.

MAN this sounds horrible.

My grandma and her brother were in a small plane crash a super long time ago (I want to say early 40s). She was more or less fine but he had some face injuries. Plastic surgery was good enough that they could make your face look like a face again, but not good enough that they could make it like your face again. So, one of my mom's uncles just looked totally different as an older adult than as a younger adult. This always totally fascinated me.

I have loved every episode I've heard but this one is the best! The right to bear arms? I laughed out loud, while on the bus today. Of course, I got a seat to myself, with all the laughing by myself so it was really a win- win. I completely love this show, which I found through stuff you missed in history class. Congrats on the baby and I can hardly wait until he/ her joins the show and gives us their opinion on medical history.

Seriously ... the right to bear arms .....you HAVE to listen to these podcasts!

The pig skin/live bacon conversation reminded me of one of the most classic episodes of my favorite radio comedy ever, Vic and Sade. The episode is called "Bacon Sandwiches." I'll just leave it here in case anyone is interested in old-time radio and/or macabre humor in a Norman Rockwellian setting. The payoff isn't until late in the episode...but it's worth it.

Also I have never told you before but I looooove Sawbones. I'm laughing AND learning. Keep it up, you guys!
