Two Quebecers quarrel: should they speak English or French when they're out and about in their hometown of Montreal?

We're joined this week by expert witness Jonathan Goldstein, host of CBC's WireTap!

Le monde est petit!

My wife was born and raised in Rawdon and my in-laws are still there. Rawdon is one of the more English-friendly towns in the Laurentians. Rawdon is a very easy step up from Montreal, compared to many of the surrounding towns. At one time, it was half English, though it's probably more than two to one French now. My wife's English is excellent mostly because of having an English best friend in Rawdon during her pre-teens. The golf course language is a very odd Franglais. I definitely find it most comfortable to lead into a conversation with French, though because of my rust, very frequently it will move to English.

If Allison and Anthony would like to meet up with fellow MaxFunsters, we're in Rawdon a few times a year.
