One interesting observation on the cake anthem--one point of agreement pretty much across the board was that all present-participle verbs were turned to "caking," which was not obvious (after all, "caking" in the context of the food is meaningless) and yet universal (including in my own singing along from home)...

By the end I was just singing "Cake cake cake ca-ake cake cake-cake caaaaake-caaaake cake caaaake..." (extra points for which line that is based on typography)

I was going to guess "Oh, say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave..." from the context clue that it was near the end of the song.

Also, my husband wandered into the room during the song with the strangest look on his face. I guess some people don't know art when they hear it.
