TSOYA is listed under Creative Commons License "Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5" (explained here). Do you have to clear this with your guests when you play a clip or song?

Secondly, has anyone taken you up on this license?

If I play a song, I'm doing it under fair use, on the grounds that we're analyzing it. And I always check with the guest to make sure it's OK. Clips the same. That said, I don't get releases, mostly because I'm not in the same place as the people, and I would just comply with a cease and desist.

Secondly, I'd presume so (say, burning a cd of a show for a friend), but I can't cite any specific instances.

And for anyone who might be interested -- I'm very flexible on the no-derivs issue, if you want to make a derivative work (say... an animation of an interview or something), I'm probably happy to give you permission.

Totally. If anyone wants to undertake this project, they will have my full support.
