Never been too familiar with Sly Stone, but that was one hell of an outshot, Jesse. Really great stuff.

I wrote an iTunes store review while listening to this melange. (Positive)

I really don't think that anyone could fail to enjoy them. It bums me out a little that Sly doesn't get the credit he deserves. In my opinion, he is in the top tier of 20th century pop musicians. With MJ and The Beatles and David Bowie and everyone.

He gets massive amount of credit, but it has been overshadowed with pity and confusion and a bit of anger, much like when Robert Downey Jr was in his Drugs and Jail years. we sense the full potential he had within, and with what he sabotaged himself. He's not the first, nor the last. But he does get the genius label thrust at him within the industry and beyond. Genius does not always mean "business success"

That was a perfect Outshot if I ever heard one. This line, in particular, was brilliant: Quote: You can hear the man in the van through all the muck in the funk. Just a really great vignette with lots of color, detail, and poetry. Bravo, Jesse!

Thank you.
It's challenging to do all this writing for the show. Writing for the radio is hard. I'm used to writing for, you know, reading. And the pieces are so SHORT!
