Keegan-Michael Key & Jordan Peele talk about their comedy beginnings on MADtv; impersonating everyone from presidents, to weather men, to gang members on their new Comedy Central show; and a card game that Jordan Peele designed himself! Plus, Jesse faces a gaming obsession of his own and the Brothers McElroy solve listeners' pop culture quandaries. This is a really good one, I think.

It is! Key & Peele sounds pretty damn funny. It makes me feel bad for not having real TV, but I will have to check it on Hulu.
Also, the new format continues to please.

I enjoyed this episode. Then I went back to playing Skyrim, where Archery is the most fun ever.

I've been really enjoying Key & Peele, so glad there's going to be a season 2. Loved the interview, Jesse.

The Key and Peele interview -- especially the part where they talk about their different outlooks on biracial identity -- was fascinating. I would have loved to hear some more of those thoughts. But delving into that more deeply might have meant that we didn't get to hear as much of their history or about their new show.
I guess that's the curse of an engaging interview: you'll never be satisfied that you've heard enough.

I was also terrified of the robot lady in Superman III in my youth. It's good to hear others had a similar problem.
Also, I would play the absolute shit out of that card game Jordan Peele described. It sounds amazing. Tell him to get on that shit!
Edit:
Oh, also, does anyone have a link to this gambling step dancing sketch they did on Mad TV? I can't find it anywhere.

Your instincts are right, this is a really, really good one. I listened to this podcast as soon as it downloaded, and I fast forwarded right to Key & Peele, because I couldn't wait: Jesse is the ultimate person to interview them, because of the intersection of African American Studies, deep comedy knowledge, and interviewing. And it was one amazing moment after another. The story of the hex sketch was so dramatic, that they needed to write a sketch that *had* to be aired, to show that they should both stay on the program. I just watched that sketch, and it's so, so much better than anything I imagined had aired on Mad TV, so that's a treat, and the fascinating stepping discussion. Then there's all the great comedy stuff about audiences and writing styles, and the difference between their personalities and yet their great friendship. Oh man, the card game (we need Jordan and Jordan and Jesse and Keegan Go) I'm going to listen to it again.
One complaint: that you didn't make a joke about how their fathers were probably absent, like Adam Carolla did, and then not apologize when it turns out they had actually both lost their fathers.

Has the donors only feed been officially phased out or was it just neglected last week?

Officially phased out, as announced on the donors-only feed . We upgraded the audio quality of the standard feed a while ago, and with the change in format of the standard feed, the donors feed was redundant.
