Elvis Mitchell on how he made a career writing about movies, and why he was arrested on the Canadian border with Cuban cigars and 12 thousand in cash. Kevin Barnes, from of Montreal, goes small in the studio but BIG and BOLD on stage. Plus, the Brothers McElroy solve listeners' pressing pop culture problems and use a lot of Jurassic Park references in the process. Bullseye with Jesse Thorn: Elvis Mitchell, Kevin Barnes, and My Brother, My Brother and Me

Hot damn! Just yesterday I was listening to Elvis Mitchell thinking how I've enjoyed his interviews all these years and I'd love to hear him yap it up with Jesse, whose interviews I've also enjoyed all these years. Not only that but I was listening to Letterman's chat with Alec Baldwin thinking how as much as I dig Kimmel and Conan and others, Dave is still the King of my late night heart. Now tomorrow I get to hear this episode of Bullseye?
Hot Damn!

Pootie Tang is a better movie than Babe: Pig in the City.

I remember reading Elvis Mitchell in the NYTimes in high school, and thinking "I like him, but I don't like him writing this kind of way." So wonderful that he's found the perfect venue for him, and my god what an interview, the living embodiment of the word "raconteur."
I really, really want to read that piece he wrote on Cheers. My academic privileges for LexisNexis are gone, anyone else want to take a look?
