The funny thing about the new job I spoke about in the drunk dial is that they laid me off a month later and now I'm collecting unemployment! I totally forgot about making that call though - it's a good memory of a happier time. But, I'm on the road to another new job and should be making another related drunk dial shortly!

Ten minutes into the episode, feeling the need to talk about the Great Mouse Detective! I did a little writeup about the Great Mouse Detective once, here are the main points: 1. It is Sherlock Holmes with mice 2. I love it 3. There's a weird mouse burlesque scene in it.

Well, anyway, I was pretty mad / depressed initially, but like you said, I've got prospects and hearing that drunk dial put the whole thing in perspective.

Fishkill is pronounced the exact way Graham pronounced it.
There were signs on A LOT of telephone poles around the area advertising the Hulk Hogan/Roddy Piper event. I guess that's the main medium of advertising for wrestling.

I pretty much live on (diet) Dr. Pete's from my SodaStream. In fact, I was drinking some while listening to the episode. No question it's a fake Dr. Pepper but, here's the thing: the SodaStream diet flavors are made with Splenda (not aspertame) and that, combined with the high carbonation, filtered water and probably too-much syrup I put in the thing, make it preferable to a Diet Dr. Pepper or even a Dr. Pepper Ten to me these days.
Dr. Pepper with real sugar though? Milk of the Gods.
