The saddest thing about maxfunday is not being able to spend it with the new content - all the podcast feeds and google+ hangouts are blocked at my work and I've already busted my cellphone data cap (mostly due to streaming podcasts earlier in the billing cycle). I may need to eat the overage cost and listen to this episode on my phone if I can desperate and lonely this afternoon.

Nope, Reddit is blocked too. I have some old JJGO and MBMBam episodes on my iphone so I'll just listen to repeats and cry softly to myself. Happy Maxfunday everyone!

I'm having trouble downloading. I thought it was a difficulty with iTunes but when I tried to directly download the mp3 version it stopped at the same point (approximately 11MB in all cases)

Anyone else having this issue?

Hey RyanTardiff, try deleting the files and starting over? Both just downloaded fine via the RSS feed and iTunes for me. The full file size should be about 41 MB.

Man, Brent Weinbach is the greatest hero of our time. I was having a shitty, shitty day today, but when I saw there was a new JJGO with Brent as the guest I immediately perked up. On the subject of Ultimate Drumming Technique: I paused the podcast to watch it before you guys described it (although I had a hunch it would be what it was) and I thought it was positively brilliant. I can see how lots and lots of people might not care for it, but I think it's worth giving it a shot. I got more laughs out of it than most two-minute online videos, anyway.

That ultimate drumming video just makes me feel like an old man. Is this what kids are doing these days?

I haven't watched Ultimate Drumming Technique, and probably won't. But as the discussion about this baffling video wore on, I slowly realized that I was listening to a real-life Always Sunny bit, with Brent playing the Dennis Reynolds role, trying to explain how the video isn't really about the guy jacking off while playing the drums, that you're missing the nuance, whereas that is in fact EXACTLY what the video is about.

I'd never heard Brent before this episode( unless he appeared in a previous one and I have forgotten,) but this was a nice one. As for the video, why does he keep scrutinizing his dick? He seems concerned about chaffing. As he should.

Brent is one of my favorite standups in the world. If you've never seen him, here he is on Lopez Tonight.

Brent Weinbach strikes again. He also has an interesting episode of You Made It Weird where he discusses his odd chair sniffing habits in depth. I enjoy how most of the things Brent does seem like bits, but are actually just him being a weirdo. A weirdo in the best, most likable way. Like not using a cell phone, making this Ultimate Drumming Technique video, or having a sincere 8-bit music podcast. All these things could be affectations for a solely comedic purpose. They only come through because Brent is so unashamed of himself.
