Dear Jordan and Jesse,

I'm a new listener and I suspect that I am late to the conversation.

In defense of the Boy Scouts ( of Canada at least ) as an ex-scout I feel that I should say a few things.
First, my mothers are lesbians. Scouts Canada not only allowed our membership but allowed my Mom to be act as 'Akela', or leader of the pack. She was responsible not only for the safety of the kids but to a degree their 'moral compasses'. There was no opposition to her leadership or to her sexuality, and this was in the nineties. It saddens me that there is such a silly topic as the sexuality of the volunteers within the organisation is a point of content now. The Scouts that I remember included everybody and I don't believe that Colin Powell would keep his mouth such lunacy


That said I think my idea for a badge is the;

'Missionary of the Rational' Badge

earned for the acolyte telling their teacher when they are being a hypocrite and/or a lunatic.

That's one cool badge to earn!
