Stoked for Immortal Power: Plug it in! Hell, I'm just stoked to have heard my suggestion on the podcast.
Can't help but feel you've opened a can of worms with Orca Fucking. I mean, you've met your audience, repeatedly. You are going to be buried in a glut of depictions ranging from the comical to the upsettingly accurate. Some of those orcas will exude pathos.

In response to Jordan's comment that he liked the 'metaphor' of the slogan 'no girls allowed' because of the feelings of the childhood's 'clubhouse' vibe, what about '2013: What's the password?!?'

2013 - Messed Around and Got a Triple-Double. (This will also allow talk about Kumail Nanjiani's great joke about what kind of asshole keeps score in a pickup game.)

I know the odds were against me because it was in a lake, but I can't tell you how much I wanted the fish 'uck to be a rubber ducky 'uck. Could you imagine the emotions Jesse'd be going through if he missed the opportunity for Simon to see RUBBER DUCKIES coming out of an 'UCK?!
The new motto is good, but it might be over my dead body that I move past "more powerful than ever." That one's flawless.

Here's the video of the racist Mummers in Philly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... FKg#at=122As someone who grew up around Philly, I feel like I want to defend Mummers in general for a second. It's a really old tradition, and a parade that's a lot more interesting and is a lot less commercial than any really well-known large parade. Each year there are really some beautiful floats and costumes. The club in question is definitely in poor taste, but they are also on the small side, and not representative of the whole parade. These routines can be huge orchestrations with many people who practice all year for this day. I've been in person many times and also watched on TV plenty of years, and to be fair to the announcers, when they are saying what's happening in front of them, they are reading something they've been given by the group to explain to viewers what they are seeing. They are definitely bored of the parade in this clip, but I feel like they are more interested in talking about gangnam style than what's happening in the routine. But yeah, totally racist in this case. Just wanted to offer some background for people curious about Mummers.

From my reading about Mummers, it sounds like a very, very awesome thing.

I'm a little sad my email entry didn't make it in to the show: "Soaring Above and Obliterating the Mountaintop Championship of the Universe"
But I've got to admit that "Immortal Power: Plug it in" is pretty great.

I have been waiting for Karen to be on the show again since her first visit. This was tremendous and far too short.

I'm enjoying the talk about the Truck Books because just yesterday my friend was reading to his 2 year old from a children's book that was produce by the Caterpillar company where every page followed the format: The grass is green. The backhoe is yellow.....The bricks are red. The forklift is yellow.....The sky is blue. The Dumptruck is yellow. It was some pretty amazing Caterpillar propaganda.

In Newfoundland where I grew up, Mummering is a christmas tradition which is basically costumed caroling where people visit their neighbors and they try to guess who everyone is while providing them with drinks and cheer and whatnot. That being said, since I grew up in a major city where people would be somewhat nervous about letting masked people into their homes (christmas time or not), I've never seen anyone actually doing it and my main exposure to it growing up was just through this video which would be on TV around christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8OPy7De3bk
