Kudos Jesse, on the 'box office poison' reference when Chairman of the Bored was brought up. I was (very) briefly stressed that nobody would mention it.

I wish Foxy Grandpa would have teamed up with once-beloved Peter Lorre character Mr. Moto, "the foxiest detective of them all." Attachment:

I started clapping even before Jordan, Jesse, and Kimmy did during the first ever second date call. Jeeze.
Does Jesse's new code of journalistic ethics mean that we'll be hearing less LGBT-friendly momentous occasions? It seems like JJGo being so friendly to that community might be "controversial."

Registered just to post the following responses:
1) The Foxy Grandpa bit was the hardest I've laughed at a JJGO bit in some time. Well done.
2) I can't recall exactly, but I think the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expressed disdain via the phrase "cowabunghole"

I actually know this! Foxy Grandpa was originally a comic strip that launched in 1900. In every single strip, the two boys plot to play a trick on Grandpa, but he's too Foxy for them and turns it around. Sometimes Smart Uncle Alex would join in. I'm actually kind of annoyed that there isn't an archival collection, because I sincerely enjoy this kind of nonsense.

I'm looking forward to the day when servals are cross-bred with foxy grandpas to create super trickster'y cats who are better at dancing to ragtime music than one would expect.

So it turns out Foxy Grandpa was also the nickname of an American WWII general. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_P._LucasI stumbled upon this glorious factoid while listening to Storm of War less than 24 hours after finishing up this episode of JJGo. I love it when shit like this happens.

What's going on between 58:55 and 59:15? Jesse is talking, but it sounds like I can hear something else going on in the background, which oddly enough also sounds like Jesse.
