In this, the inaugural episode of Wham Bam Pow, we discuss the great Sci-Fi movies that were NOT recognized by the Academy (hint: nearly all of them), Rhea pitches a HOT sequel, and we review Quentin Tarantino's oft forgotten Jackie Brown. DISCUSS! Wham Bam Pow Episode 1: Sci-Fi Snubs and Jackie Brown

1) This podcast is outstanding.
2) Please build a game around Ricky's afro.

I don't ever post in the forums here but I came here specifically to say how much I enjoyed this podcast. The in depth look at Jackie Brown (my personal favorite Tarantino movie) was truly great. The discussion wasn't surface level or facile like so many other podcasts. Everyone was funny and insightful.
My only suggestion is maybe don't give a shit about saying spoiler alert. If you say you're going to discuss at length Jackie Brown, that is on the listener to realize they might get spoiled on the movie (and holy shit, that movie is old enough to be beyond the spoiler statute of limitations anyway).
So, again, truly great podcast and I look forward to the next episode! Please don't care about spoilers!

Love this! Very exciting times.
I'm pretty ok with Ray Parker Jr. getting snubbed for Ghostbusters though, what with that song being borrowed pretty directly from one H. Lewis and his News.

What an outstanding new addition to the Max Fun network. I'm definitely looking forward to more episodes. And it was great to hear a breakdown of Jackie Brown, which has always been my favorite Tarantino movie. It deserves much more praise!

Hey dudes!
Thanks for all these comments & feedback about the show so far. I can't believe we have yet to play a game centered on Ricky's afro. That changes NOW.

Don't forget the soundtrack to Reservoir Dogs. The "ear scene" uses a similar technique used in Jackie Brown with using the radio. Steelers Wheels "Stuck in the Middle With You" fades in and out and may be one of my favorite scenes in any movie. Check it out.
