Everything of importance was stolen from my car last night except for my emergency tie and my Stop Podcasting Yourself tote bag. I'm sure that helps the police because now they'll know to not look for a classy gentleman.

Since I was about 12 I thought I had been dealing with a generalized anxiety disorder with Obsessive Compulsive tendencies, but I just got diagnosed with the same mental illness as Maria Bamford. Apparently I have been laughing *a little too hard* at certain sets of hers.

My non-momentous occasion? I lost my job and my car in the same week. Then, a month later, I bought a replacement car with the money from my insurance company and that exact same night my car was found, perfectly unharmed, at a tow yard that failed to report the vehicle to the city. I have an adequate replacement car but my beautiful, wonderfully dented old car - which got me and all my worldly possessions from Champaign, IL to Austin, TX - is no longer mine.

I just slammed my fingertips in a door.

This morning a squirrel was hanging out on the portion of the roof under my window. It kept getting closer and closer to the window and I was afraid it was going to try to come into the house, so I started waving my arms to scare it away. The squirrel dropped a nut out of its mouth, which rolled off the roof and onto the ground, and then stared at me for good 30 seconds with an open mouth like it couldn't believe what I had done. I hated myself all morning for ruining that poor squirrel's day.

I saw a mosaic of the yellow ghost from Pac Man on an overpass. I think it's my new favorite act of vandalism.

Before the law stands a doorkeeper

Just found out that my brother got high and wrecked his dad's Trans-Am. Then he got fired from his job as a car salesman for falling asleep several times. Also, apparently his life has become a comedy film from the eighties.

My computer won't turn on. It just makes a very loud and unsettling BOOP noise. (Unsettling because it sounds to me like some entity from beyond is trying page me over some circa 1970's cosmic intercom.)

Today I went to the bison range and saw many bison, several deer, a few magpies, some other kinds of birds I can't name, and one turtle. Nature!

Sounds like there might have been the possibility of some Aeschylus action on that bison range. The raw materials were there...well, if you had a bald man in a toga with you, too.

I'm about to start my morning workout and I threw in Repo!: The Genetic Opera in an attempt to stave off boredom. I'm about 20 minutes in and I don't hate it. I think it's a combination of low standards and being a fan of Anthony Stewart Head.
