Andrew Solmssen is a big ol' nerd. And a podcast fan to boot. Sounds like some people I know.... Anyway, he tells a bittersweet story about being fat and dating. Cause ya know, dating's always a blast. Then Lee Harrington tells a stunner. Mr. Harrington grew up a nerd also... but one with ladyparts. This is the story of how Lee was raped in his girlhood, but came to understand that incident more completely in his manhood.

Lee Harrington's story really affected me. The way he was able to come to a place of acceptance and understanding is incredible. Risk is quickly becoming appointment listening for me.

Lee's story is amazing because it's so... unusual. I have a hard time feeling sympathy for a rapist in pretty much any circumstance. But here was this other perspective...

And it's hard to argue with the storyteller's feelings. When the incident happened, Lee was a vulnerable young girl. When the second part of the story happened, Lee was a grown gay man. Only he can say how it really felt. And he's a beautifully eloquent speaker too.
