I said it before and I'll say it again, now validated by an expert: Friday Night Lights!
- - - - - -
I've never seen House, but from the promos ("He's the doctor you don't want treating you, unless your life depends on it.") it seems like a doctor's version of every renegade cop drama from the 80s.
CHIEF: You're off the case, McGarnicle!
McGARNICLE: You're off your case, Chief.
CHIEF: What does that mean exactly?

I've never heard chimpanzee pronounced like Jesse pronounces it! He doesn't hit the "pan" but says "pn" instead. (This isn't a criticism, just an observation of awesomeness.)

I don't remember it specifically, but I think if I did say that, it was probably for comic effect

It sounded like the way I imagine you would say this book title:
...perhaps with an 'n in the place of the 'and'. And it was a great example of comic pronunciation, as was the pronunciation of "Orang-oo-tan."

My roomate last year watched all the Sex and the City in like two weeks and I about killed myself. I get that people enjoy it and watch it, but personally I think it's one of the worst shows I've ever seen. I think the only way to describe my opinion is by using Jesse's phrase: "I want to punch all the characters in the face" (or something to that effect).
Anyway, I actually wanted to suggest a television show for you guys to watch. Granted, this show isn't actually on anymore and I don't think it's ever been (legally) released on DVD, but if you can find some way to get a hold of it I think it's a winner. Ed. It was on from like 1999-2003 (or somewhere around there) and starred Tom Cavanagh as a lawyer that owned a bowling alley. Man it was good stuff. I suppose there was nothing special about it, just another sitcom where the two protagonists are in love with each other but it never works out, but I liked it. I thought about this one for a while last night and wasn't sure what made me like it so much, and then I found the answer(s):
The theme song is "Ain't It the Life" from Foo Fighters There Is Nothing Left To Lose album. God I love Foo Fighters. I think that's what initially attracted me to the show. I was probably in 8th grade or so and was flipping around the channels and all of a sudden heard Dave Grohl's voice and was like "MAN! Even if this show sucks I have to watch it because they chose Foo Fighters for the theme song." Most "good" shows have really terrible theme songs. CSI, Friends, Arrested Development = some of the worst and most annoying theme songs of all time. Now, there are a few other shows that have awesome theme songs (The Office, Home Movies), but I think in general television shows just have bad songs.
I also think Tom Cavanagh is a pretty good actor. Like the show, he's nothing special, but I liked him in the show. I was bummed to see that Love Monkey never took off.
If you get a chance, check out Ed. Good show.

I think Jordan mentally begging for his dude co-workers to talk about buttsex instead of the Dirty Sanchez was the funniest thing I've heard in a long, long time. Spot-on!

I miss the action items at the end - where's our homework for the week? You give so much and ask so little in return, allow us to enrich your lives like you enrich ours.

Jesse, if your girlfriend's friend Rachel gets divorced from her husband, please inform me ASAP. Also inform me of her likes and dislikes and how a midly chubby gentleman of slightly below average height could win her favor.

I was skeptical of this podcast until this episode. Fantastic!
My favorite part was Jesse's mad wikipedia skillz...in the middle of a space battle!
Those gals need to become regulars. And Rachel is a truly dangerous combination. She's willing to do extreme things sexually...and then make fun of them afterwards. Potent.
Way to GO, J&J!
Paul
