There was something compelling about how genuinely disinterested Tig seemed through the entire episode. It's like she took a cue from Jesse's story about the woman who looked at him with complete contempt for his disease. Which, apparently, we now know is AIDS.

Jesse's right, beards are great. All the best indie musicians have beards. Theres your Sam Beam (see avatar), your Justin Vernon, your various members of Dr. Dog, on and on.

As Dinosaur Comics and this t-shirt will prove, beards are better than babies. If at all possible, you should get someone to let you name their beard. I'd volunteer mine, but I don't know if it would be up to your standards.

No idea why this happened, but it appears to be fixed.

Pure comedy gold. You should invite other people on that are unaware and/or unwilling to put up with your shenanigans. No improv stylings, "yes, and" was not in her vocabulary. I liked seeing you guys work your way out of a hole. Once again, fabulous.

Michael Jackson sure is a jerk for not making it VERY explicit that everyone on Earth has AIDS, but that's ancient HIStory.

My computer has unexpectedly died- I have neither heard the podcast nor been able to upload the promised pictures of the mini, but the unreliable Geek Squad have told me either tomorrow or Monday my new one will be ready.

I saw N*E*R*D soon after their first album came out, and they also did the "song title in the interstitial patter" thing, and it just KILLED me. So awful.

I have three initial gut reactions to the nomination of the Morgan/Joe ticket (assuming Fat is Mr. Joe's first name):

1. If all of America's women got pregnant during this administration, do you have any idea whatsoever how hard it would be to get a doctor's appointment?

2. Assuming many of these pregnancy and baby doctors are ladies, what happens when THOSE ladies get pregnant and have to then go on maternity leave?

3. The economy would collapse under the weight of everyone having to buy baby gifts. My economy would at least, because not only would I be supporting my own baby as a kickass (although broke) single mom, I'd have to be buying baby gifts for everyone all willy-nilly.

So I'm halfway through this podcast and I actually came inside to see if her acting that way was an inside joke or something. I thought that maybe it was intentional and that I wasn't catching the humor.

Jesse, why didn't you just tell her "Thanks" and then carry on without her if she didn't want to be there anyway?

Also a dogleg might not be something that everyone knows, but it seems self explanatory.

uh did I miss something or was it not obvious that Tig was joking around? I thought she was awesome on the show.
