Again, liking all the comic talk.

If you really want some insight into how comics are getting to the people and generating revenue, at least in strip form, you should check out the things that Penny Arcade and Ryan North have championed. These are two examples that immediately embrace their audience in various ways, and the models they set forth for others. They're the two that I see as most revolutionary, any way.

Scott McCloud is the main reason why I read graphic novels from time to time...for the longest time, I just thought they seemed silly, but I read Understanding Comics for a college course and I really liked his voice. I immediately tracked down Zot! and was hooked. I personally feel that the first ten issues of Zot! (the ones not included in the recent collection) would make the perfect 2 1/2 hour superhero movie.

Because of this, I wish that Zot would've been touched on a little more, but McCloud is known for his theories so it only makes sense that those theories were the main emphasis for the interview.

Really super interview. I was listening as I was walking past the library so I borrowed Understanding Comics and read it all in one go. Loved it!

I have to admit I'm pretty embarrassed that I remember seeing Zot! as a 12 year-old and thought it looked lame, not like the REAL super hero comics I read. I'll have to give it another chance now.

Great interview, never been that much into to comics but it really gave me a new perspective on the thought and effort put into them and made me even more psyched to see the Watchmen, when is it out in america land?
I think im gonna wait til after to read the novel, id rather spoil that than the film

I cant belive how much difference certain things could make in a comic, id interested to know wat he thinks of the new The Spirit movie, thats gotta be one meta-comic!
