I just saw this downloading in itunes and I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I cannot wait to listen to this. I started listening to podcasts after an On the Media episode maybe 5-6 years ago.

I want Bob Garfield and Brooke Gladstone to be my mom and dad.

Starting this TSOYA podcast and hearing Bob and Brooke's voices was like getting a bonus OTM podcast. I loved it.
And you were wrong, Jesse. NPR listeners do listen to your show; and I'm sure that if we had even a modicum of human emotion left, and weren't so busy grinding our teeth and re-reorganizing our iTunes libraries, my fellow Aderrall patients and I would be highly offended by Brooke's comments.

This was such a fun episode to listen to.
Bob and Brooke seem like they compliment each other well. Their transparency on their coverage is commendable. They just earned themselves a new listener.
Great job, Jesse.

This episode was a grown-up version of The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones for me. Two of my favorite things lovingly mashed up together. I just hope Bob and Brooke made it back home safely (via time machine, of course).

Well put, trip. Jesse Thorn interviewing Bob and Brooke and talking in detail on how OTM relates (or not) to The Daily Show. That's seriously my three favorite things discussing each other in detail (well, not so much for the Daily Show). In other words, it was fucking awesome. Kind of a...momentous occasion, if you will.
I've listened to OTM every week for years, since before they started publishing their first shows as mp3's, which was WAY before everyone else. It was... weird hearing Bob and Brooke not asking questions and being so casual, but their crotchety banter was hilarious.
This might be my favorite TSOYA yet, which is saying quite a lot. The only way it could've been better is if it had been edited....by...........Brooke.

Great podcast! For some reason, though, while Brooke was attempting to describe her relationship to Bob, I was imagining her as a "raven-haired beauty" of a dominatrix, with Bob enchained submissively at her feet.
I don't, for the life of me, know why.

In a just world, all the celebrity mags would be chattering about when those two are going to hook up. But they shouldn't.
Unless On The Media gets cancelled, god forbid. Then Bob and Brooke should kiss (with tongue) at least once for the series finale.
But seriously, great interview, my only complaint is that it was too short. I want Bob and Brooke on Jordan Jesse Go!

You know why I listen to shows like this? Where else do you find somebody using the word 'canard' because it is the right word, is well used and dammit just cool. Bless you all!
So delicious and refreshing. Like a lime sorbet placed perfectly within a meal. Mmmmmmmmm......
