I don't know how you do it, but y'all always manage to spotlight everything I love: Trailer Park Boys, Graham Linehan, Robert Popper, Betty Davis, Martin Starr...TSOYA makes the world a better place.

Great interview, I loved those Ricky clips.

I also can't get enough of Jim Lehey's physical humor on that show, but that obviously doesn't translate to radio well. The whole show is visually funny actually and I think that's what makes it stand out for me.

Good interview, but have to geek a bit about Trailer Park Boys being the first mockumentary comedy series. I *think* that has to be Tanner 88, and also the People Like Us TV series predates it by a year or two. The Office would also have been written at the same time (TPB was shown first though by a matter of months).

After I heard this, I went and watched the show again. I have heard a lot of praise for the show and tried it twice now, but I can't get into it. It just feels really flat to me, the type of mockumentary doesn't feel quite genuine enough while at the same time isn't at all surprising in how it plays out. Maybe my firsthand experience of family in trailer parks falsified the aestetic they are going for, but I doubt it. I love things like Spinal Tap, british Office, Christopher Guest, and Reno 911. Does Trailer Park Boys diverge radically from the early episodes, or is it just not for me? Any key episodes?
