I'm having a friggin' terrible day. This gives me some hope that things will start looking up after work- looking forward to listening.

There's already another mayoral gift in the mail to you from Texas, Jesse-- I ordered it before your announcement in this episode that the wager has been satisfied. It sounds like Shannon and I had similar ideas about signature TX treats :)

I can't say I'm a fan of his, but go easy on Kevin Smith's $5k wedding demands- at this rate it's not unlikely that you could make the same officiating weddings 5 years from now.

Also, here's what Jim Davis (foreground) looks like:

Sleep tight everyone.

I just remembered that I claimed to be Jim Davis in a BoingBoing TV video once.

Now you understand how I recognized the guy. He's pretty horrific looking, but he lives close to the town I live in, so we get to see his bloated, lasagna-inhaling mug every once in a while.

I actually also saw him at Panera once...sadly, Panera has a shocking lack of lasagna-based menu items.

I never realized until right now that Garfield was autobiographical.

Noted - Comedian Nick Kroll and actor Joshua Molina (Sports Night/The West Wing/The Good Wife) have never been seen in the same room together.

Oprahjaculate is my new favorite word. Any time I hear it today I'm going to scream like Pee Wee Herman. I can't imagine I'll have to wait too long.

Please don't start a pod-war with Kevin Smith, Jesse. I listen to all of the Smodcast Podcast network Podcasts, and all of yours, and quite frankly, I don't want to hear Mommy and Daddy fight.

This episode had a lot of talk about very specific erection/orgasm requirements. It was also extremely funny. Correlation!

I have an inordinate amount of pride in all things from Indiana (like Best Person Ever David Letterman, John Mellencamp, Jim Gaffigan, Diamond David Lee Roth), and from my hometown, Columbus, (Jamie Hyneman of Mythbusters, Chuck Taylor of shoe fame).

This includes Jim Davis. I collected the books when I was a kid (up through #12 or so; I think they're at #50 or so now). Garfield isn't the sort of thing I'd find funny now—or in the last 20 years, even—but when I was 8, that shit was funny.

I'm still trying to work through this pride thing; Indiana gets maligned a lot because of ignorance, and I like having examples to point to of good things from here.

Excellent episode, though I kept hoping for a whole segment with El Chupacabra. I'm not sure anything I've heard in the last year or so has made me laugh harder.
