I listened to this at the beginning of the week (non-donators, it's a perk for donating) and I just loved the enthusiasm of both Ronnie Spector and Fred Schneider. Ronnie's love of the holiday was very clear. I felt she also navigated the minefield of her relationship to her ex-husband rather well. It's a shame he didn't let her hang out with the Stones more. It's clear she rather liked Keith.

Also loved the musical selections...any show that starts off with Milton DeLugg's "Hooray for Santa Claus" is going to be a favorite in my book. I'm someone who has a copy of the "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" comic book from the 60s in my collection (DeLugg is still alive, by the way. He still is musical director for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade every year. He's worked with so many legends...would be fascinating to talk to him).

So great job, guys!

Is it bad to teach your kids about Santa Claus? Our daughter is 3yrs and 8 months now. I was telling her the story about Santa Claus and she was getting real excited. But then my wife starts telling me that she doesn't think it's a good idea to give her false incentives to be good. She also gives the old "I never believed in Santa Claus as a child and I turned out fine" routine. As for me, I just don't see the harm in it- sure, one day we'll tell her the truth when she's old enough to understand that her parents are just doing it to give her a special experience once a year. For now, I'm just enjoying her excitement about Christmas.

When it comes time to explain it, just tell her that Santa Claus comes from the way people give presents to their loved ones at this time of year. He's how we represent that.

Also, he is magic, it's just that the magic...is in...her heart!

It's fun. Santa's great. But when the walls start to crumble, don't lie anymore.
