I hope his distinction as the single high point of Costello's "Goodbye Cruel World" is discussed.
I suspect it will not be.

I'm really glad that they were let back into the pantheon of "the cool kids' music," even if I'm not a big fan. He made Jesse's job easy, but Jesse truly nailed his part, too.

Daryl Hall has a total 70's-dude voice. He talks just like you'd expect him to talk. I feel like in the wrong interviewer's hands, he could get away with really easy, charming answers, but Jesse pushed him to answer some more serious questions. And it was awesome.
Also, any day I hear "Rich Girl" is a super-great day.

Yeah, Rich Girl is such a fucking jam. I think it stands up against pretty much any other song in the world of sweet soul, and I love sweet soul. It's Stylistics 24/7 at my house, people.

I know I'm way late to this - just listened to the show last night and thought it was great. However, I'm disappointed that Jesse, as a devoted Bay Area rap fan, did not ask Daryll Hall about this:

Hall and Oates are definitely big in the streets.
