Bruce McCulloch, best known as one of the members of the comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall, is a writer, actor and director of movies like Superstar and Stealing Harvard. He talks to us about tracing his musical comedy roots, the dynamics of The Kids in the Hall, and more.
Check it out and discuss!

Very interesting to listen to. Bruce was always my favorite Kid, and I liked that they didn't just talk about his comedy.

I was unaware that he was directing. I saw him on Gilmore Girls and was shocked to see him.

Ah, Bruce McCulloch! I was a huge KitH fan in high school and saw his one-man show in 2001. It was weird and funny and fascinating, and I still remember it now. He's a very unusual and wonderful person, and I loved this interview with him!

J-Var did a great job guest hosting this one, fantastic interview. I liked hearing him talk about the dynamic with the group when he went to SNL.

As a Canadian, I never even knew the Kids in the Hall were a thing in the US. When I discovered that they were much loved by American comedy nerds, I got weirdly proprietary, like "Hey, you can't have them, they're ours." Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Celine Dion - so many of the funniest figures in American pop culture come from Canada. It was nice to believe that we'd retained the greatest of them all.
Alas, most have had to go South. I was very excited to know Bruce McCulloch is still making stuff. I was worried after Carpoolers was cancelled and I hadn't heard from him in a while.
