The problem with doing a podcast as a "series" is that iTunes automatically unsubscribes from shows that haven't had new episodes in a while, so you lose your whole audience (or like 75% of your audience - the people who use iTunes and haven't changed their default settings) between seasons.

There may be other reasons not to do a podcast series, but can't you avoid series-loss problems by occasionally putting out an episode of, say, SPY or JJGO under that heading, the same way that Earwolf Presents releases various sample episodes of other podcasts under the one banner?

That or a minisode with updates about upcoming seasons. Just anything that technically breaks the dry spell.

You can use this feed address:
http://www.maximumfun.org/feeds/iw.xml

to subscribe in iTunes. Just go to "Advanced," choose "Subscribe to Podcast" and copy/paste that bad boy in.

My computer's been broken so I only got around to listening to it today when Jesse revealed on JJGo that it was up in iTunes. Fantastic show, awesome premise, and everyone (host inclusive) was funny as hell. You did a great job at picking perfect guests to open up the show with.

If you can get Paul F. Tompkins on this show, I will tithe 10% of my income to MaxFun for the rest of my life.

Andy Zaltzman, please.

Also, if you could get John Oliver on, what country would he play for?

John lives in NYC, so that probably won't happen. I'm sure Andy will be on at some point, as will his hilariously funny sister Helen.

It's a shame Jimmy Pardo's allergic to dogs cause I'm sure he'd be a great contestant. Can't you pump him full of extra strength Benadryl, or does that only defend against pollen

This was EXCELLENT. My god, I howled at several points. And I am a demure lady who simply doesn't do such things!

However, I would respectfully submit that the interview portion that took place at the halfway point felt out of place and sort of took the wind out of the sails (because international waters, geddit??) Momentum was regained once the quiz restarted, but unless such segments are bringing in sponsorship money (ie from the studio behind the film) I would suggest that you reevaluate their utility to the overall episode.

Same here.

What? I really dig your wife. Don't worry, I'm not a threat.

Really enjoyed this new show and would love to hear it regularly.

I'd happily up my monthly contribution and/or contribute to a kick-start drive to see this made a regular feature.

Thanks for the great show, guys!

We'll have a new episode next week, and once a month thereafter.

Note that this is going to cost us about $1500/month to produce, so I hope everybody ponies up in the pledge drive.
