Haven't had time to put together a blog post for him, but here's a discussion place.
Know he's out of many of your demos, but he is a really cool guy, and I really enjoyed the interview.

I remember seeing him on Larry Sanders some years ago, and I think it was the first time I was made aware of his post-Men At Work career:

I like his solo version of "Overkill".

Yeah, he was totally on Larry Sanders. I think he's just the greatest guy.

A song on The Simpsons, a new album and an interview on TSOYA? Colin Hay's got a lot going on lately!
This the closest will ever hear to my Dad ever being on TSOYA. The Scottish accent, the love of the Beatles, the humor. It's all there.

And he was on "Scrubs" this week putting a new spin on "Down Under". They love him over there. I think this is his third episode.

I have not listened to this interview yet, but I heard the promo in WNYC and it made me happy. Hearing Jesse on the real radio is somethng that really gives me a lot of joy because TSOYA was like my secret thing for a while that I liked and downloaded, and now it is available for so many other people sans ipod. I love it. I do.
One of the other guys in Men at Work became a recluse and joined a cult. In some VH1 documentary about the band, the people they spoke to basically said that winning the best video award was like the kiss of death for them.
I just remember being like 9, and my brother was 8 and we would listen to men at work or watch the video for who can it be now and we were elated! It was like nothing silly enough for us existed in the adult world but men at work was somehow a confirmation of what we considered high art and culture.
My bro had a special dance for one of the songs on their first album and I used to specially play the song for him so he would do the dance.

I had a really long drive last night and I hit traffic and I was about to have a fit when I remembered about this interview on TSOYA. I remembered just in time to hear the show! It was great, and really diffuse d my mood of desperation. My ride went from being awful to being pleasant. What a neat guy!

Great job as always, Jesse, especially since I remember drawing the Men At Work logo on my boom box in permanent silver marker back in 1983. But interviewing musicians who haven't had a hit in 20 years is my domain, dammit!

Excellent conversation, Jesse, and I also strongly commend your guest selection. Tell me, do you know in advance whether you'll be doing a 30-minute interview or going for the full 50, or is it just a matter of how much the guest gives you?
