The podcast will go up later today (editing it now).
Looks like Mike's pilot for CBS isn't picked up (though it's still possible it'll get plugged in mid-season if something goes wrong), but I thought this segment from the interview about creating sitcom reality out of your real life was really interesting, so I saved it for bonus audio:
Here's a direct link, it's about five minutes long. |

| Nice, I like the bonus audio. I'll save the real core yuk-a-luks for listening tomorrow during my long workday. Great guest, though. |

| I have to admit, I got excited when Mike mentioned the Cape Cod Melody Tent because it's literally 2 minutes from my house. |

Oh my god - did you hear this guy on This American Life a few weeks ago talking about his sleep disorder? I was laughing so hard I had to put down the knife I was using to chop vegetables for fear of taking my finger off ("...establish credibility..."). It's worth scrounging up on itunes if you missed it.
As an aside, I was very confused as to why someone so obviously talented was performing his stories at shopping malls, until I heard him on TSOYA and figured out The Moth was something different |

| I also saw "Sleepwalk with Me" at the UCB-NY. It's incredibly hilarious. Kudos to you, Mike Birbiglia. |

That was the line that killed me too! I was making a scene on the train. But, yeah, his story was so wonderful that the rest of that TAL fell a little flat. |
