I'm lucky. I get to have Lewis Black as a hometown comedy hero. Go Silver Spring, MD!

Didn't Patton live in Silver Spring for his formative years?

I wasn't aware of that, but it is entirely possible.
Black has a bit about Silver Spring, though, which is incredibly exciting to have anything specific about the town out there when we are living in the shadow of a MUCH more important city next door.
Edit: Ben Stein is also from here, but his recent denouncements of science have removed him from my heroes list.

If his comedy is not full of vile lies, he lived in Sterling, Virginia.

After listening to ebeth27’s commercial, i’m very tempted to spend $100 for an attack ad on Jonathan Coulton or for a praise ad about mycokerewards.com. Merely by spending multiple hours typing in random strings of characters, i received $100 in Subway gift cards and an insulated lunch box! The part where i drank barrels of Diet Coke to get those codes was going to happen anyway.
Also, i’m sick and tired of Jordan bringing up baseball on JJGO! Who the fuck cares what channel the Braves play on? Keep your eye on the horsehide, Morris.

Cocoa has a best friend named Cooper who lives down the hall. She and Cooper start playing the second they see each other, and play continuously for hours. It is an amazing feat of endurance.
Right before we started recording, Cooper's mom came over to see if Cooper could come play. Cooper didn't come over until after we recorded, but Cocoa was essentially waiting for him the whole time.

Oh man. Oh man oh man, that sounds great. I wish our neighbors had fun dogs that Ruffles could have playdates with.
The next door neighbors have a St. Bernard, but I don't think Ruffles even processes that thing as a dog. He sees her and just says "AGH! COLOSSUS!" and then summarily freaks the fuck out.

Furthermore, no goggle talk would be complete without Horace Grant.

This was obviously the champion of the program. An illustration of Seth Morris' genius.

Carb emissions was definitely the one that got me. That man turns a mean phrase.
Jesse, you should try getting FoD's head writer on TSOYA. I was trying to go back into the bonus material to get his name and find some more of his sketches, but the link's gone down for one reason or another. I think he'd make a good guest, though.
EDIT: Okay, link started working again. Andrew Steel is his name. I can't find any listings of his skits, but any late-game SNL writer is basically my favorite SNL writer.

I do believe this is the second time we've heard the tale of Tyler Perry's House of Payne.
Not that it gets old.
