Just starting to listen, and two early thoughts/observations:

1) At first I thought "Scott Aukerman? The guy from the descendents??" But of course that was Milo Aukerman.

2) Jesse's slip on "prostitute incident" made me realize how those words are easily transformable, phonetically speaking, into "protestant institute." Is that a spoonerism? Perhaps. Am I a big dork? Indubitably.

Off to the supermarket, listening on the way...

t.

We forgot to put Scott's single in the first uploaded version of the show.

You can download it here.

I'll try to get the new version with the song up tonight.

Seriously Jesse, shit fit me so good. Keep sending those suits my way.

Also: it's true. I have the world's gayest voice.

And finally, growing up in a rural community, our radio show where you swap shit was called "The Trading Post".

Great episode. I listened to this (in part) while shopping at the whole foods, which was especially full of cute girls this evening, and I had a smile from ear to ear, on account of all the good times. I'm telling you -- at least 60% of said cute girls returned the smile. I should listen to JJGO at the grocery store every week.

Man, between this and folks on Twitter, apparently tonight is "check people out at the gourmet grocery store night" for Max Funsters.

There is clearly something cultural I am missing my shopping at the mediocre neighborhood grocery store across the street.

I'm only about half way through, but "LONGER! BORINGER!" is a significant highlight. I also loved the "Uncuntfortable" joke that swiftly followed.

As for the action item of MaxFun greeting, my suggestion is walking by the beshirted person with the sound of a car passing at high speed.

"nnnnnnneeeeeRRROWWwwwwwhhhh"

It's non-confrontational, it's indirect, and if you do it at the same time it's going to seem like straight-up magic. At best you make a connection with a friend, at worst you've given somebody a memorable encounter with an eccentric weirdo, that being you.

Scott talking to the recorded calls was hilarious. Secondly, Gilgamesh's friend: Enkidu.

I await Jesse's argument for why Pee-Wee's Playhouse (which I think he mentioned rewatching in its entirety at 1 point) is the exception to the SpongeBob Principle. It's not enough to bash circuses, I guess. ALL earnest spectacle must be disparaged! *scowls*

Jordan was feigning ignorance again. Fess up, Jordan. You've played a Final Fantasy game before.

Oh yeah, Death Ray Radio podcast is fucking fantastic. The weird al interview was superb and for some reason I enjoyed pardo more on DRR than on NNF, despite the overt sexual harassment.
