Loved the interview, I hadn't heard of Kyle before his album release, but now I can't get enough. It's great to see a fairly new comic who already has such a strong voice. And if you like his standup, chances are you'll love his blog I'm Dead and it's All My Fault. It's a collection of short jokes about a character getting himself killed in amusing ways-- check it out.
P.S. If you haven't purchased Death of the Party yet: Get off your duff!
P.P.S. I would really love to hear Kyle on JJGO.

Jesse and I happened to catch Kyle a couple times when we were taping in DC last fall (Nick Thune was actually on one of the bills, too).
I really dig him.

His voice and delivery sort of remind me of a smarter version of the character "Sock" from the show Reaper.

I downloaded his album and I thought it was quite good. Very funny, and you get a real sense of him as a person.

I got to see KK open for Patton at the kickoff to the Bentzen Ball last October, and I swear to all that is new sincerity he made a theater full of friends without leaving the stage. It was incredible.

I saw Kyle Kinane open for Patton Oswalt at the Irvine Improv at the end of last year and he absolutely killed me. I've been following him since, even got to go to the recording of Death of the Party at UCB. Could not recommend it more.

That was...uncomfortable. But "Every train wreck needs a caboose" is fantastic.

Also, I am in Chicago as I write this, and I got to see Mr. Kinane, among others, at the Lincoln Lodge as part of the Just For Laughs Festival last evening. It being the second show, in addition to the show being called Drinking Buddies, he was a little sloshed. I think this only added to how delightful he was being. His set was amazing, and I even got to talk to him for a little bit after the show. He was super cool.

I saw him last year at a Patton and friends show at the Largo. He was a total discovery to me and my hunky husband and I just kept looking at each other going, "Who IS this guy!?" He was a joy and helped erase the negativity of Jason Nash who was also on the bill. Why I rejoice in Louis CK but find Nash utterly depressing is a mystery to me.

Saw this guy recently near my home town. He was amazing. His album is awesome and very well-produced. I listened to it on some stereo headphones and it sounded like I was there. He just fits right into the pocket.

I too had been hearing of this guy for the first time and I must say that I am pretty impressed with the way Kyle Kinane handled the interview. He is really charming and humorous by nature and his voice sounds to me pretty cool. I am therefore looking forward to have a look at the album and see how it is. And by the way, does anyone of you here know whether he is holding any concerts nearby?
