Not only was this episode fantastic but you played my friends overheard! Hooray! Also, anytime Dave gives the guest a hard time, my day is made. Now I'm going to go high-five Alistair. Hooray again!
P.S. I told Alistair that donors get to boss you guys around and that I'm the only reason his overheard was played so... help me lie to my friend?

Oh junk. Just thought of something. Have any of you ever seen Marmaduke and Scooby Doo in the same place? I'm not sure if I've ever heard Marmaduke speak, but I suspect he might pronounce his name "Rarmraruke". Just a thought.

This episode was once again fantastic. I love the "too Canadian" episodes the most, because a) I understand all the references and b) it is funny to listen to Dave getting a little exasperated at all the Canadiana.
Amanda was great, by about 20 minutes in to the episode I forgot that she had never been a guest before, she seemed to fit right in. I look forward to her return to the show.
also, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" was one of my favourite movies when I was 8 or 9 years old, and as far as I'm concerned, it still hold up as a really fun, well made film.

Marmaduke speaks with the voice of Owen Wilson, obviously. As for the Scooby / Marmaduke breed debate, maybe we should ask the experts.

Oh man, that's right. I honestly forgot that the Marmaduke movie happened, but I think most of the country did too. As for the experts? I am tipping my hat to you, right...NOW. *tip*

I love the "too Canadian" episodes, despite not understanding any of it! I like that you get all the American celeb/pop-culture stuff up there (except for our Smarties) but then you ALSO have your own stuff that we don't get to know about. I don't know why I like this, and I'm not sure if this somehow makes me a condescending American being all "It's so cute that you guys have your own little world up there; just like a REAL country!" (though I don't actually mean it like that). But anyhow. Bring on the Canadian stuff. Love it.

No, I try to get them out before bed on Mondays but I ran into a lot of tech troubles this week. Sorry about that.

Loved the references and they are so very inside baseball for us Canadians.
I saw Roger Rabbit in the theater and had to keep nudging my dad so that he would not snore. My dad also managed to fall asleep during Die Hard too.

There's a surprising amount of darkness in Who Framed Roger Rabbit - multiple murders, extortion, corporate intrigue (the gas company buying out the street cars), organized crime and public corruption. But somehow, it's also the silliest movie I've ever seen. My dad and I used to watch VHS tapes of old Superman and Warner Bros. cartoons together every Saturday morning, so I'm basically required to love Roger Rabbit.

I *loved* Roger Rabbit, but have grown to only 'adore' it now. It's still an amazing feat of the technology of the time.
No comparing Lion King and Roger Rabbit.

Wigs, mod-acrylic or human hair, do float.
This has been one of the best episodes (editions?) ever. Dame Amanda Brooke Perrin is hilarious!
