Haven't heard of the show, but Maria Bello looks almost as good in that hat as she does in *that* movie.

The tag for "In Time" has to be "In their world, time is money..." right?

Um, actually yes. According to imdb, it has 3 taglines:
-Time is money
-Time is power
-Live forever or die trying.
Pretty good.

I would enjoy more use of the term "computer-apes," please.

Ho-lee. Shit. I thought I was the last person on earth who still listened to Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar episodes! Maria Bello is the greatest person in the world, and she needs to start listening to Arch Obler's Lights Out Everybody as soon as possible.
Edit: Ahhh! I used the wrong name! I'm the worst.

Lights Out Everybody is great. The Price of Fear is pretty entertaining too, sometimes a bit gorey, but it's nice to know that Vincent Price wasn't always a bit of a joke.

Yeah yeah whatever. Is that Peter Campbell in the In Time movie trailer? And why are his lips so red?

Doggy Boner story -
I teach 6th grade (12 year olds) - and I had an old joke book in my classroom that my students were passing around and giggling about -
The joke book is all dog and cat jokes. It turns out, there is a section of jokes, a chapter if you will - called "Doggie Boners" - after quite a bit of giggling and a lot of "that is not appropriate", I had to explain to my class that the word 'boners' could also mean 'jokes' -
I took the book out of the class, but they talked about the 'doggie boners' all the time - they thought it was hilarious.
I really hadn't heard it in any other context until Graham said it.

In answer to Graham's question, no, police in Britain do not routinely carry guns (except for Northern Ireland). Mark Duggan, the gang member who was recently shot, was being trailed by a firearms unit who were attempting to arrest him when the incident occurred. Here is a photo of some Metropolitan Police officers with truncheons but no guns.

just to clear up as much as I can. I took the 9/11 photo and submitted it to SPY. It is a genuine poster that was on the wall of a waiting room in a doctors office in Sri Lanka, I think it was taken in 2009, definitely not before, as it was taken with my iPhone which I got in 2009.
The back story is that my wife is Sri Lankan her uncle is one of two doctors who had the practice in question. Patient traffic was pretty slow so when we were over visiting I would often go to chat with him when there were no patients and sit in the waiting room when he was consulting.
On one such day I saw the poster and took the picture. I had seen that wall a lot by that point and would definitely have noticed this poster had it been there before, so it must have been newly put up in 2009.The last time I was in SL it was not on the wall.
I emailed it to SPY on 10 Aug, after which Dave put it on his personal blog, that seems to be the start of other people getting interested in it (although I never knew anyone had picked up on it till I saw your links). I've never put it on the internet before sending it to SPY.
While I can't say for sure when it was produced, I can confirm it was on the wall in 2009 and it is genuine. There is no penguin in these pants.
Edit: just checked the original photo metadata; it was taken in February 2010

So, the idea that Trey Smith is the Julian Lennon of his family is really interesting, but it sort of implies that Just the Two of Us is somehow equivalent to Hey Jude. And I'm not sure how to feel about that.
