I must protest this bad-mouthing of Pinchole. It is among the worlds finest card games. 10s are better than kings in it! How is that not the greatest?

Before those Wendy's commercials started, I was wondering about whatever happened to that girl. What she looked like, if her last name was still Thomas, etc. She actually looks about what I thought she'd look like, as I am glad she doesn't look like a child with candy apple hair.

Pinochle? I meant to badmouth Pinochet.
As for Wendy, not only is her name not Thomas anymore, it was never even Wendy. According to Wikipedia, it's Melinda Lou "Wendy" Morse.
Quote: As a child, Morse was unable to pronounce the L in her name Melinda and so she became known by her nickname Wenda (with the pen-pin merger). Then 8-year old Wenda would eventually become the namesake behind the name of her father's restaurant Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, or just "Wendy's" for short.

And thus, it is revealed that a legacy was founded on a lie and a child's speech impediment.

The M in M. Bison technically stands for Mike, as in Mike Bison, which sounds like Mike Tyson and was originally the name of the boxer character now known as Balrog. Meanwhile, the character now known as M. Bison was originally called Vega (while Vega was actually called Balrog).
They switched them around because they didn't want to run into legal trouble with Mike Tyson/Mike Bison, and thought Vega wasn't badguy-y enough.

It's like how Kentucky Fried Chicken changed its name to KFC because the spokesperson at the time couldn't pronounce "chicken" properly. True story, guys. My friend's uncle knew a guy who knew a KFC executive who told him all about it.

Graham not top 1-er,
worldwide. Needs a half-million
assets. Someday. Someday.
----
Not sure what the limit would be for income as opposed to net assets to be worldwide top 1%. Considering that the US has about 4.5% of the world population, 22% of the US is 1% of the world. To be in the top 22% of income in the US in 2005, you'd need and income of at least $83K.
Even then that would only make you top 1% if no non-Americans made more than that, which is not the case. I realize that this is simplistic reasoning and i'm not accounting for household sizes, taxes, and whatnot, which makes income measures particularly tricky.
The point is that Graham isn't part of the worldwide Top 1% unless you're counting non-humans. However, he's still very lucky to be a Canadian, where at least he knows he's free...and has access to potable water, food, shelter, and beard painting supplies.

That overheard reminds me that I too was initially confused about who was Dave and who was Graham when I first started listening. It now occurs to me that maybe it was due to the intro, where Dave and Graham introduce each other. In can be slightly confusing to the mind when the first time you here Dave's voice is when he's saying Graham's name (and vice versa). Even though the "He's" is in there, I think your mind forms an unconscious association between that voice and the name.
I'm not saying change the intro! I think it's great. This is just my theory on why so many people seem to be confused.

Three possible haiku -
The middle class is shrinking while
Scrooge McDuck goes diving
OR
1% of people control the wealth
the rest are at their mercy
OR
People, planet suffer
greed fills pickets of corporate leaders

Wealth distribution
deemed unfair by some people
big protests ensue
unemployment gives
extra time to write haikus
about rich fat cats
I don't like haikus
so my first time writing them
was not pleasant
I could not resist
trying to write one or two
like the cool kids were
No seasonal things
on these poor haiku attempts
but who cares? suck it!
