I would have thought that Rachmaninoff's one hit wonder was Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini.

OK, I registered specifically to make this comment - I really love this show and based on the guests I imagine this episode will be awesome. However, I couldn't listen past the first few minutes, because it's mastered all crazy. Some people are only in one channel and that really messes with my head when I'm listening in earbuds. I humbly suggest that in the future you use something more closely approximating a mono mix. Also, to show I'm not just some crazy person who complains on the intarwebs from my cushy ivory tower, I've uploaded a mono version [MP3, V8] that I made in Audacity (don't have Audition on this computer, sorry): http://ge.tt/1zVqqbO/v/0?cSo, if anyone happens to be similarly annoyed by horrible stereo setups, there you go.

Did anyone else have this problem? I just listened on headphones and couldn't hear any weird mastering issues.

I re-downloaded the stereo version of the episode so I could be specific. I think the US team is MOSTLY in the left channel. Your mastering is fine, UK side is more in the right than in the left, but not by as much as the US team is. Also, as a side-note to this, I noticed that when I made the mono mix it was half the size of the stereo mix. I have no idea about the cost structure of Max Fun, but if having the episodes in stereo isn't adding anything (I don't think it is), you may be able to cut your bandwidth costs in half by switching to exclusively mono mixes. Just an idea.

Thanks for the feedback, we can narrow the stereo down a bit in future if people are finding it a problem. I think this ep had slightly wider stereo than some of the others, but we do try to mix so that the show still works in just one ear!

No audio problems detectable by these cloth ears. Was it wise to yoke top Bugler Andy Zaltzman and Greatest Living Englishman Craig Brown together in a single MP3? This may be the most dangerous amount of wild and crazy British satirical hair assembled in one place since the royal wedding. I mean judge for yourselves! These pictures are actual size. Just look at the size of that Zaltzman! Awfully nice of Jesse to adopt the British (ie correct) pronunciation of 'Craig' as a gesture of respect to his guest. Once and for all 'Craig' rhymes with 'vague', not with 'egg'. Will you never learn? I suppose the great Mr Brown can count himself lucky that his excellent book was not retitled 'Craig's List' for the US market. Aixcellent episode from all concerned.

Actually, I'm the dum-dum and perhaps you can help out this baffled Brit. I've followed the cast of You Look Nice Today to their various other projects - including Merlin to Roderick on the Line. What is supertrain?

What is supertrain? Supertrain is this idea for a utopian train-based society that Roderick talks about. Episode 25 is where it first got introduced and it gets mentioned from time to time afterwards. If you are regularly listening to RotL, you should check out this thread I started too.
